Job Vacancy

Foodservice Design Consultant
(Kitchen Design)

Location: Flexible working (mostly remote, but on-site visits are required)

About the job

We’re Invito Design. We’re a specialist kitchen design consultancy that creates innovative, operationally sound, and deliverable food and beverage concepts. We are known for our work in Stadia but are keen to expand into the wider market – whether that’s designing a kitchen or bar or driving sustainability in design with innovative drink systems. We have an exciting opportunity for someone to come in and help us expand and grow.

We’re looking for someone eager to advance and develop within our company, who has experience in catering equipment, foodservice and hospitality design. You’ll be ready to work on-site at projects, where you'll help dealers and clients overcome obstacles that come up during the design process.

This is a customer-facing, sales-orientated role, and you’ll lead client briefings and kitchen design team meetings. You will work alongside our team of graphic designers and Revit specialists to make sure projects exceed client expectations.

Please note: this is a foodservice design role, not an interior design role.

What you’ll do â€‹

  • Sales and Growth: the key part of this role is to boost company growth and expand the business past stadia and into the wider industry

  • Networking:  our work is based on strong industry connections, and you will help grow and develop relationships with clients and end users

  • Design: create detailed 2D designs using AutoCAD for the Revit team to turn into a federated model

  • Client Collaboration: work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored design solutions. You will lead some client and design team meetings

  • Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys on retrofits

  • Project Management: Manage kitchen design projects from initial concept through to completion, reviewing and managing the workflows though each stage, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to timelines and budgets

  • Innovation: you will constantly be thinking of new ideas and innovations, working with the team to implement new ways of thinking into our projects

Who you are

  • Proven hospitality or catering design experience

  • Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit is useful but not essential)

  • Strong understanding of commercial kitchen ergonomics and design principles

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • A great communicator, who makes an effort to get to know everyone within the team and is brilliant at networking and making new contacts

  • You are a creative person, who is constantly thinking of new ideas and innovations

  • Detail-orientated, who is just as talented at looking at the smaller details as well as thinking bigger-picture

  • Passionate about designing innovative hospitality environments that improve staff and guest experience

What we offer

  • Negotiable salary (dependant on experience)

  • Flexible working (we are a remote-working team, however on-site visits and networking is required)

  • Bonuses and substantial OTE on any new projects brought in

  • Opportunity to work with a forward-thinking company that encourages you to grow

  • Competitive holiday allowance including Bank Holidays

  • Free Oddbox delivery every two weeks
